Women in Reinsurance (“WiRe”), the organization for professional women employed in the Bermuda reinsurance sector, today announced that Peta White has been appointed Chair of the Board. She succeeds Kathleen Reardon who will remain a director.Ms. White is co-head of Global Reinsurance Operations and Senior Managing Director, Head of North America Property Reinsurance at Markel Global Reinsurance. CEO Hamilton Re Kathleen Reardon has been Board Chair of WiRe since 2014.“I’m thrilled to announce Peta’s appointment,” said Ms. Reardon. “As an active member of our Board since 2017, and a recognized leader in the Bermuda reinsurance space, I know she’s the ideal next Chair to continue WiRe’s journey and persist as an advocate group for women.
