About our panelists:

Kirsten Beasley, Head of Healthcare Broking, North America at Willis Towers, drives the broking strategy for our healthcare

industry clients, particularly for the signature lines of insurance that are critical to our healthcare clients in North America – professional, general and excess liability. Kirsten and the team of healthcare specialists in broking, work with our Healthcare Industry group, client advocates and producers to deliver cutting edge insurance programs, grounded in analytics, to our partners.

Kirsten joined WTW in 2016 with nearly 20 years experience with the healthcare industry insurance arena as both a broker and an underwriter. Immediately prior to joining WTW, Kirsten served as Chief Operating Officer, Bermuda and led the North American Healthcare underwriting practice of Allied World Assurance Company (AW). Kirsten began her insurance career as a large account healthcare and casualty broker with in Bermuda.

Kirsten has authored several articles in the healthcare field and has been a featured speaker on several industry-related educational and professional development panels.

Tracey Gibbons, SVP Underwriting Third Point Re, is part of the management team at ThirdPoint Re and is SVP of Specialty Reinsurance. As well as a joint honors degree in Economics and Economic and Social History from the University of Hull she is also a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, an Associate in Risk Management,a member of the Institute of Directors and a Certified Company Director.

Ryan Mather, Global Head of Reinsurance for Argo Group, has 30 years of underwriting experience. Directly prior to joining Ariel Re in 2006 through the acquisition of Rosemont Re’s infrastructure he was with Gerling Global Re where he was the Manager of the London property account and was responsible for the Lloyd’s business. He has also worked in Lloyd’s and for a U.S. reinsurance company.  Mr. Mather is an Associate of the CII and a Genetics graduate from the University of London.

Jelena Strelets, Life Actuarial Lead for EY, leads the life actuarial practice of EY Bermuda supporting reinsurance companies globally.  Prior to that, Jelena was based in London, UK and held industry roles at Swiss Re and Aviva in economic capital reporting and reinsurance risk management. Jelena started her career in Big 4 consulting, and also has experience in structuring reinsurance solutions, which was gained at an investment bank and a global reinsurer. 

Peta White, Moderator, Co-Head of Global Reinsurance Operations, and Senior Managing Director, Head of North America Property Reinsurance at Markel Global Reinsurance Prior to 2013, Peta was Managing Director Head of International Property.  Peta joined the Company (formerly Max Re/Alterra) in 2006, as Senior Vice President, International Property Cat. 

She started her career in 1994 with CAT Limited which was later acquired by ACE Tempest Re, where her role upon leaving in 2006 was Vice President, International Underwriter. 

Peta graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1993 with a  B.S in Mechanical Engineering. A Bermudian, she is a keen and successful sailor and represented the island in the Olympics in 2004. In 2019 she was named one of 50 most influential women in the (re)insurance industry by Intelligent Insurer Magazine. She currently serves on the Board of WeSpeak and chairs the Board of WiRe (Women in Reinsurance). Peta earned her Certificate in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors in 2018.
